What is Ketamine?

Ketamine was first developed in 1962 in Belgium as a general and surgical anesthetic, and in 1970, it began being used clinically for patients in the United States.

Ketamine is fast-acting, putting the patient into a dissociative anesthetic state, without lowering the heart rate and without slowing down their breathing, making it a safer and more effective anesthetic drug. Because of this, it has been used commonly in pediatric care for anesthesia.

What are the benefits of Ketamine?

Although it had been traditionally used as only an anesthetic drug, research from the 1990s from Yale University proved Ketamine to be an effective drug alternative to several mood disorders and in treating chronic pain. Many patients found results could be felt immediately.

Ketamine not only treats the symptoms but also heals and regenerates neurotransmitters in the brain. Damage to cells and nerves are often the root of mental conditions, migraines, and chronic pain. Through Ketamine therapy, nerve cells are targeted in the brain and healed through regular treatment.
